CONSULTATION AND FEES

One of the most valuable services offered by Green Family Law Office is the initial consultation with attorney Donna Green. You may be in a variety of situations when you first seek consultation. For example:

You may need general information, given confidentially, if you are merely contemplating the possibility of a divorce.
Or you may need advice on best positioning yourself in an anticipated child custody battle.
Or you may need an attorney to review a settlement agreement to protect your rights if you and your spouse have decided to part in a "friendly divorce."
Or you may need help quickly responding to a complaint for divorce that your spouse has already filed.

Whatever your situation, during the consultation, Donna will not only attempt to answer the questions you have. She also suggests immediate actions you may take to protect your assets and your rights to your children based upon your unique situation. You should complete the New Client Questionnaire before your initial consultation.

There is a $100.00 flat fee for the initial one-hour consultation with attorney Donna Green. Because there is a flat fee, you need not worry if the meeting runs a bit over one hour.

If you choose to retain the firm's services, Donna's time will be billed at $250.00 per hour. Her paralegal's time will be billed at $90.00 per hour.

Before we begin representation, we require an initial retainer deposit and a signed representation contract. The initial retainer usually ranges from $1,500.00 to $7,500.00, depending upon the complexity of the case. The firm bills against the retainer as services are rendered. If the retainer is close to being depleted and the case is not near conclusion, you may be asked to replenish the retainer. Of course, where it is appropriate, we will seek to have the other party reimburse you for your attorney's fees.
